4 Days Nile Cruise from Cairo

Our representative will meet you in your Cairo hotel lobby and transfer you to Cairo Airport for your flight to Aswan, from where your Nile cruise begins.

Upon arrival at Aswan Airport, our representative will meet you and take you to begin a tour of the ancient city of Aswan, including the High Dam, built by Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser in 1960 to protect Egypt from the Nile’s floods.

Next, you’ll enjoy a Nile cruise on a motorboat to Agilkia Island, where you’ll visit the Philae Temple, built during the Roman-Guinean period and dedicated to the goddess Isis (mother of Horus).

Finally, you’ll be accompanied by one of Aswan’s most iconic landmarks: the unfinished obelisk, carved from red granite and dedicated to the god Amun-Ra.

After your tour, you’ll transfer to your Nile cruise ship for check-in and overnight stay.

After breakfast onboard, you travel north by private vehicle to Kom Ombo, approximately 45 km from Aswan.

Here, you explore the Temple of Kom Ombo, uniquely designed as a perfectly symmetrical double temple honoring both Sobek, the crocodile god, and Haroeris, a form of Horus. The visit includes its twin sanctuaries, hypostyle halls, and ritual chambers.

You also visit the Crocodile Museum, which houses mummified crocodiles discovered in the temple vicinity.

Following lunch at a local restaurant, you rejoin the cruise as it sails along the Nile toward Edfu. The afternoon is spent gliding past sugarcane fields, riverside villages, and sandstone cliffs that define Upper Egypt’s landscape.

After breakfast, you take a horse-drawn carriage into Edfu town for your visit to the Temple of Horus—the most completely preserved ancient temple in Egypt.

Inside, towering pylons, vast halls, and detailed inscriptions reveal the mythology of Horus and Seth as well as the rituals of the Ptolemaic period. The temple’s preservation allows access to nearly all original architectural levels, including roof terraces.

Returning to the cruise, you continue sailing north toward Luxor. Lunch is served during the journey.

Upon arrival, you visit Luxor Temple on the East Bank, a monument shaped over centuries by rulers including Amenhotep III and Ramesses II. Its grand colonnades, open courtyards, and sphinx-lined avenues illustrate the ceremonial heart of ancient Thebes.

Check out after breakfast. Afterwards, you will enjoy an exploration tour of Luxor’s East Bank, including the magnificent Karnak Temple Complex, the largest architectural complex in the world, covering an area of ​​100 acres.
